Show cause notice issued to headmaster who got post in NCP in Netrakona
Abdul Hannan Akand, the headmaster of a government primary school in Mohanganj upazila of Netrokona, who has been appointed as a member of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has been given a show cause notice. Upazila Primary Education Officer Abul Hossain gave him this notice on Wednesday. He has been asked to submit a written reply within the next three working days.

Abdul Hannan Akand is working as the headmaster of the Chayashi Ahmed Hossain Government Primary School in Suair Union of Mohanganj upazila.
On July 12, the 31-member coordination committee of Mohanganj upazila NCP was announced. Abdul Hannan Akand was made the joint coordinator of the committee signed by NCP member secretary Akhtar Hossain and northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam.
The matter sparked criticism locally after the list of the committee was spread on social media. Because according to the government employee rules, no government official or employee can join a political party or participate in political activities. They will not be able to participate in the election campaign.
In this regard, Abdul Hannan Akand said, “I have received the letter of show cause. I will respond within the stipulated time.”
Mohanganj Upazila Primary Education Officer Abul Hossain said, there is no opportunity to join any political party as a government employee. This is a violation of the government service rules. For this reason, the headmaster has been shown show cause. If he fails to give a good answer, action will be taken according to the rules.
